As preparations quickly develop for college baseballs biggest event of the year, the CSBI announced today the addition of Kade Morris from McNeese State to a roster growing in both size and talent.
"McNeese State is one of the premier programs in the state of Louisiana and in the Southland Conference.” Said Director of Baseball, Brian Nelson. “They (McNeese) are known for playing a high-quality brand of baseball and producing elite talent. We are grateful to their coaching staff and fortunate to have a player like Kade joining the CSBI."
Playing in nine games during the 2020 shortened season, Morris impressed the baseball community batting .318 in his junior year at McNeese while showing his athleticism spending time at third-base, first-base and catcher. Leading up to 2020, Kade started his college baseball career with two very successful seasons in Junior College (North Central Texas CC and Alvin CC) recording a total of 46 hits, 30 RBI’s, five doubles, and six home runs. He posted a slugging percentage of .388, scored a total of 31 runs, and had 11 multiple hit games. Prior to college, he attended Alvin Reach High School and was a Perfect Game Preseason All-American Honorable Mention. Kade stated, “I am really excited for the opportunity to compete with such great players at this invitational and look forward to being part of the first live baseball around.”
Morris will be joining nearly 100 other stand-out college baseball players in early June for the CSBI. The 3 Day event will be broadcasted via a Pay-Per-View subscription which starts at $49.95 for the first 2,000 members and includes the entire 6-game tournament! 5% of the retail price each subscription will be donated to No Kid Hungry (nokidhungry.org)
